Centres of prayer

As well as being places of care, the homes are centres of prayer too. “This is missionary territory and it is vital to deepen the faith here,” says Fr Hayes.
“We try to love God in every way that we can and remember that Our Lord shares in our suffering, having undergone it himself. The Mass and the Rosary are very much part of our lives. Within months (July/August 2004) we will begin planting a Biblical Garden which will help us grow in faith and provide enjoyable activity for our residents.”
“Christ taught us to love and serve each other. It is usual for residents in our homes to help one another as much as possible. That is the spirit we live by.”
